Student from Hyderabad new target of racial attacks in Australia
Racial attack on Indian students in Australia continued, with latest victim being MA Khan, studying at the Victoria Institute of Technology (VIT). This was the 15th attack on Indian students in Australia in less than one month. The 20-year-old student from Hyderabad, pursuing the Hospitality Management from the last one year in the VIT, was attacked by two un identified men near a railway station in eastern suburb of Melbourne. He was admitted to a local hospital. Khan received multiple stitches on his face, as he suffered cuts below his eyes and forehead. Narrating the incident Khan said, "Around 5.30pm, the peak hour of traffic, two guys came from the side in front of me and gave a very bad punch on my face and ran away". He said the attacker did not ask for any money nor they snatch anything from him. The police came to the spot after 10 minutes of the incident and shifted injured Khan to a local hospital.
